Things to notice about my week without my family:
- I haven't visited the supermarket I usually go to for three days and the fridge is still so full it looks like I have to put away some food before I can finish it all.
- I haven't had a clean home for a year and yes, I'm loving it
- I have actually interests of my own. I have invited my friends over and we had such a good time. I have gone for a long walk in the crisp wintery/springy air. I have watched three movies from beginning to end. I swam a kilometer yesterday. I went to a hairdressed today and just had to buy a beautiful shirt to go with my beautiful new hair. I have been so thrilled with the silence of only me being around the house that I have actually lifted up the lid of the piano and hummed a few tunes, I have thought of (once again) writing a book and I have thought of taking art classes as a hobby of my own. If I had the canvas and the paints, I would be painting instead of writing to you.
My older boy got the influenza as he reached grandma's place next to the ski resort they were supposed to go to. He had even hopes of downhill skiing with a friend from the same neighbourhood, but it so happened that only his little brother skied with the other little brother, as my older boy had a temperature of nearly and over 40 degrees C. Well it seems to be going away now.
