Happy birthday to me!

Tänään vietän syntymäpäivääni. Tällä kertaa en kauhistele ikääni. Muutama päivä sitten minulle tärkeän nuoren naisen elämä loppui ennen kuin se oli edes kunnolla ehtinyt alkaa. Ilman varoitusta kaikki oli jo ohi. En halua hienoja lahjoja. Minulla on 35 vuotta elämää elettynä ja paljon koettuna, perhe, kiireinen, mutta ihan sopuisa arki, maailmaa kierrettynä, koti, työ. Se on minun lahjani ja tällä kertaa olen siitä enemmän kuin kiitollinen. Yhden lupaan. Arvostaa ja juhlia jokaista päivää ja kaikkea hyvää ympärilläni.

Today I'm celebrating my birthday. This time I'm not horrified of my age. A few days ago a young lady dear to me passed away before her life even begun. Before a warning everything was over. I'm not interested in fancy gifts. I have 35 years of lived life and a lot of experiences, family, a busy, but quite content life, a lot of world travels, home, work. All of these things are my gift this time around and I am more than grateful for them. One thing I promise. To respect and celebrate each day and all good things around me.
